THÊ DEPØ, is a 750 capacity, multiple room, multi genre, underground focused event space located on the iconic Union Street in Plymouth. Our ethos, deliver the very best in club culture & customer experience AND, Never Stop Moving Boundaries!

Independently run, we are powered by the people for the people, with the sole-purpose of delivering high-calibre events from both the artist and event-goers perspective. Everything we stand for is cemented into the building and its space with our meticulous attention to detail, from our split floor mezzanine design, all spaces in the club overlooking the most important focal point in the venue, the stage, powered by our Dynacord driven EVX2 advanced line array, tuned to perfection. Couple this with the state of the art SFX fixtures, 5x4 LED screen and you have one of the best looking & sounding venues in the UK.

Over the last five years we have revolutionized the South West’s music scene. Bringing heavyweight artists, bands, brands and more from around the globe, now becoming one of the most iconic clubs in the UK.

The mission is simple; do what others dare. So much so, our contributions to the music scene were recognised in 2026 by winning BBC Radio 1 Dance ‘Best Grassroots Music Venue’

Sitting alongside THÊ DEPØ, our sister venue LEVEL 33; a rooftop open-air event space operating from May - September, is as fresh as it gets. Curated for the daytime party, this south facing sun trap offers the club culture we know and love but in an outdoor ambient setting.

Situated directly above the dancefloor is also our DEPO STUDIOS, a full live recording studio, two production studios, and three music rehearsal spaces.

All three of these organisms work in synchronization turning the venue into a multiplex of music culture, a space where aspiring young artists starting out combine with industry professionals at the peak of their careers.

history

The inception of THÊ DEPØ as it stands today, little did we know it, actually began back in 2012 in a small bar on the city's bustling North Hill, when as a university project we set up our first event promotion company Casa, over the years pioneering the house & techno scene working in various venues & unique spaces across the city, growing event by event, but whilst also honing our skills and gaining our loyal following.

In 2021, we hit a crossroad as promoters, with a lack of event spaces suitable for our events and culture in the city, mid pandemic with many venues across the UK closing, we took a gamble and flipped the narrative.. We took on a venue on union street, mid covid, in the height of restrictions. We put in every last penny we had and every waking minute we possessed with the mindset that one day, things must return to normal and we will then have a perfect space to host our events, and more.

On Monday 19th July 2021 at midnight, the day restrictions were lifted, we hit the ground running and didn't look back. In our first year hosting a long list of iconic acts, including Mike Skinner, Patrick Topping, Becky Hill, Pete Tong, Bru-C, Danny Howard, JP Cooper, Andy C, Prospa, Faithless & Hot Since 82.

Over the years that followed we further fine tuned the event space, diversifying our events offering, adding more sound, more SFX, more everything to levitate customer experience. At the same time, developing a creative working office space for our rapidly expanding team, and one of the best green rooms in the UK for artist hospitality.

In 2024, we took on more of our building, working with new partners & created DEPØ STUDIOs, a premium music recording, production and rehearsal facility on site. Offering up and coming djs and industries professionals a networking hub with state of the art industry standard equipment to hone their skills, often leading to support opportunities on our headline shows.

Never content, in 2025 we pushed the boundaries even further developing our room 2, matching the high spec delivered in the main room. Whilst also opening our chic open-air rooftop venue Level 33, now being able to complement our winter calendar of events with a summer series of the same caliber.

As we stand today, we offer the widest range of events we have ever done to date and are the busiest we have ever been. So much so our contributions to the music scene were recognised in 2026 by BBC Radio 1 Dance, winning ‘Best Grassroots Music Venue’ for ‘helping underground dance music thrive’.
